I have a vine in my greenhouse which bore 10 or so bunches of grapes last year. This year,I have only 1 small bunch >:(I pruned it back as suggested on an internet site but obviously the method was wrong, or was it the poor summer weather?

How old is the vine? You should only cut back to 4 buds on any branch too. They need loads of water too are you in UK?

5 years old and I stay near Glasgow.I've found another website which rubbishes the 1st one I tried so I'll give it a go.Basically, you cut the "rope" back by 2 thirds and take off all side shoots in the dormant season.Looks like shock tactics but I'll try that.
