shrimp plant
« on: July 06, 2013, 20:38:20 PM »
Unfortunately the shrimp plant I bought 3 weeks ago has died.I actually think I killed it!!!!!I googled the plant and it said not to let it dry out, could I have drowned it to over zealous watering?????Any tips on 'keeping' one of these plants if I decide to replace it?I live in Çalış but not near the sea,my balcony gets a lot of daily sun but I could have the plant in the shade if need be.

Keep it in dappled sunlight and only water it sparingly.

Rather than watering the plant, try misting it in the evenings instead.

Are you certain its dead?  I am a serial killer.  But sometimes they forgive me if I water them correctly.  There could be life in the old plant yet!

Try a squirt of cocktail sauce. Usually livens up a few shrimps for me.  ;)
