Took a drive up Babadag earlier today, a little later in the year than one would normally embark on such a journey, but it was as usual a great experience. Temperature at the start of the journey was a very nice 21 degrees, but by the time we got to the first jump off point - are those people mad!! - the temperature had dropped to a bracing 9 degrees.
Took some pictures whilst we was up there, and even though they are not as clear as during the brighter summer months, also not helped by a bit of cloud cover, they do show the great views that can be had from up there. I have posted a couple of the pictures below, the first is looking over Olu Deniz and the Lagoon, on over to St Nicholas isalnd (I think that's the correct name) with Fethiye bay in the distance, and you can just catch a piece of Kaya on the side. The second is a shot over Fethiye, and part of Fethiye Bay with Calis in the distance. The old urban sprawl does look like it is getting worse, still what can you do...enjoy.
