Boris Johnson has won a £1,000 prize for a rude poem about the Turkish president having sex with a goat.

The former mayor of London’s limerick, published by the Spectator as a rebuff to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s efforts to prosecute a German comedian’s offensive poem, also calls the president a “wānkerer”.

Boris "wins" £1000 from the Spectator - a paper on which he is a columnist. Obvious fix! As corrupt as a Turkish President.

a paper on which he is a columnist.

...and not just any old columnist, an ex-editor of the magazine to boot!

I may be out of step with popular opinion here, but I found the whole thing pretty tacky and more suited to a school playground than a magazine supposedly focused on politics and culture.

I don't like little reginald, or his pious political cronies very much (mibbe a wee understatement there), but FFS, if you're going to attack him do it with a bit of class and originality.

If RTE gets his hands on him, Boris may meet a sticky end - just like his Turkish great-grandfather.
