Thomas Cook Airlines staff vote to strike
« on: May 25, 2016, 17:21:41 PM »
As it says...

Those greedy scumbags at TC want to cut staff rest periods from 20mins in 6hrs to 20mins in 12hrs.  The staff don't like that idea therefore the strike vote was carried this afternoon.

I agree with them, a single break of 20mins over a twelve hour shift amounts is ridiculous - typical TC trying to run things as tight as humanly possible.  No concern for staff and customers, par for the course for that mob.

That's crazy, and yet another reason why I won't fly with them!

At that follows them cutting the number of cabin crew per flight in 2014.

I also choose not to fly with them if at all possible.

How valued their staff must feel being treated like this. And it shows in their attitude to customers on flights in my experience.

20 minute break in 12 hours surely the EU legislation will stop that?  TC has become our airline of last choice, and in recent years only got bookings in the winter when there was no direct alternative.
