Good grief - mind you the security case and locks will go away with a deal of your weight allowance   ;)

Granted, but you'll run far less risk of losing valuable items and those hard cases are very light these days. You will most likely be able to put the padlocks on after the case has been weighed.

As you can see from the video Jacqui it's not recommending the use of hard cases with zips.

It is difficult to find a hard case that does not have a zip.  However, they do not have places for padlocks, they have a locking system on the top.

I've got a hard case without a zip it's quite big though. Also has a combination lock.
