What / who was it built for ?
« on: October 17, 2018, 18:21:59 PM »
quite a few years ago a large building was constructed along prom near letoon ,when it first was completed there were easy chairs / tables /  sun beds a small bar great looking pool and a large grass area and people enjoying themselves along with a brill sea view behind the glass wind screens.

during the past few years of our visits it seems to be closed up except for a very maintained  pool and lawn areas  no one to be seen except one security guard at times we  strolled or hobbled as in my case  along the prom.

does anyone know the ins/ outs of this place as we feel it would make a very nice place to stay  in the location its in .

Thanks in advance
.

It's a private dwelling I think.

Funnily enough we were asking the same question about that building when we were down at the Letoon a couple of days ago.
We'd always thought they were apartments but were told that they were indeed private house, as Highlander has said.

Yes it is a private house, we actually saw a family there once, just the once. I think it is the holiday home of a Turkish family. It doesn't appear to be used very often though, perhaps they are rich and have several other places to go, lucky people !!

Not long after it was built all the glass was removed from it and replaced with (apparently) bulletproof glass. So there was much speculation  as to who owned it. Never acrually seen any one there other than maintenance and security staff....

I heard that it was built for a politician (Istanbul? ) for him and his family to use for holidays.

Stayed next door last year, never saw one person for two weeks.
But walked past this year and there were signs of occupancy in that there was a table set for breakfast on the patio. And two young children playing in the garden.
Must have some cash whoever it is.

My son and husband were shown around it when it was being built as the security guard used to work on our site.  He told them that it was built by the owner of Hanel homes as a holiday home for his family. Only seen it used a couple of times.
