I don't recall it being mentioned before but I've found this warning on The Aydem site this morning when I went to check my bill online....

Recently we have learned that some people call our customers by phone on behalf of mainly our company and various Electricity Distribution Companies and by using the names of some establishments, and request doorstep payment or credit card information by claiming they would provide discount for electricity bills by attaching a device to provide savings.
It is not possible to make savings by using mentioned devices and the intention here is deceiving the people, therefore no one should trust such phone calls and demands and no one should make payment to such people, which is necessary to prevent unjust treatment.
AYDEM carries out collection by PTT branches, contracted banks and own pay desks. Our company does not use “collection on doorstep” for any process.
