On one occasion, at Gatwick, we arrived too early at the Easyjet counter to check-in hold luggage. One of their operatives phoned through to luggage control and within three/four minutes it was open for us. One of the reasons why, when looking for flights, my first step is to see what Easyjet has to offer.

When you do your online check in & print off the boarding cards, the bag drop opening & closing times are shown

Yes you can. It's all "self service now at Manchester. You put your case on the scales, scan your boarding pass and print and fit your label to your case. Next you put your case on the conveyor and press the blue button. Off it goes on its merry way to Dalaman hopefully  ;)

its a lot quicker now at Manchester they have 5 or 6 terminals put your case on the scale to weigh then put your boarding card under the reader prints out a sticker to wrap round the handle of your suit case unless you are over weight then it will ask for a payment we were over by 1 kilo and it wanted £10 case of the scale empty some stuff out back on then print three or four members of staff to help
we where 3 hours early and sailed through
