« on: February 11, 2014, 21:40:06 PM »
I have been given a keyboard for my iPad (yes I know) and a have a very technical question.

How the Sam Hill do I get the damned thing out of it's case so that I can connect it to the keyboard.

PS KKOB I do not have the box to return it

If you mean get the iPad out of its protective cover, then start by easing one corner out first then another, the rest will follow.  8)

Thanks Hamlet - it's a leather case and as you may have guessed the iPad was put into case by someone else  :-[ :-[ :-[

I have a keypad too, very handy, it's the third one I have had and probably, up to now, the best as it's hard metal and just like a proper typewriter/computer keyboard...
So, good luck once you actually remove the ipad from it's case.

How it comes off depends on how it went on - but if possible a photo may give us a clue to that...

Is it not a wireless keyboard? My iPad doesn't have a port to plug anything in other than the charger

Was about to say, Ipad keyboards are wireless.

If you need to remove your ipad from its case, it clips in on each corner but you won't find any extra connectors as there is only the one.

You may have to charge the keyboard, and search for it under system preferences. Either WiFi or Bluetooth.

I assume the keyboard is one that doubles as a case/cover and that is why he needs to remove the cover that is on it.

The problem is solved.

Strangely enough I didn't resolve the matter myself and whoever invented velcro wants shooting in my opinion :-[ :-[ :-[
