Title: Dates for Dates ... & Turkish Olives

Last year I mentioned my search for "ideologically sound" dates (i.e. not from Israel) and my difficulty in getting delivery because of the Christmas rush. So this year I have ordered my Palestinian jumbo size Meshoul dates early. They can be found here:

I also had problems getting Turkish Marmara Birlic dry-cured black olives (I can't stand those radioactive-green ones Kayakebab goes for) but The Turkish Shop company is back on form and so I have ordered a couple of 400gm cartons to see me through the next few weeks:

[p.s. "ideologically sound" was a concept that preceded "politically correct" and was, and remains, greatly intellectually superior - I might pontificate on that topic and some unknowable future date.]

They're currently (!) out of super sized dates. I've put them on the wish list.

Will go for jumbo if no sign of them over the next few weeks.
