It may have it's detractors but I think it is fantastic.

£ 50.10m is a fabulous total - very well done to the thousands of ordinary folk who helped raise the money.  :)

Quite agree Highlander. Cried my way through it last night like I usually do after hearing all the heartbreaking stories. Also the fantastic efforts of the young people who took part in the Rickshaw Challenge. Inspiring.

I thought it was a marvellous night as usual with lots of tears and laughter but I missed Terry Wogan. His family must be so proud of his legacy.

I have read quite a few negative things about Children In Need but I don't care...I think.it is a marvelous event that The UK can be proud of.. The enjoyment it gives to people is the best part of the fundraising.. I shall continue to support it..

If you go on the official site it does give information on where the money is spent throughout the UK.If   anyone has suspicions about anything not being right then surely auditors would be involved.

The issue with some people is the amount of money raised which goes administration costs.

"According to the latest accounts for the year to June 2015, spending was more than £62m but included £4.7m costs of generating funds, £2.5m grant-making and policy and £400,000 governance. Just under £55m went out in grants."
