Greetings to Members
« on: May 11, 2011, 12:11:24 PM »
Hi,
I feel I will learn a lot from the member comments and opinions on Fethiye, surrounds. I was surprised to find out there were so many UK citizens residing there, some for over a decade! .Fethiye to me was just one location along the Blue Cruise route. The real thing is so much more beautiful than the pictures. So we purchased last week a house from a UK couple wanting to change suburb..Looking forward to see the results of so many years of cultural exchange on that particular point.
Will be moving to Calis by 15th June. Have 3 children. Professional translator  worked in Australia and Turkey for 27 years. Interested in Gallipoli WW1 history. I write-translate for a Travel and a History magazine.
regards"
dogan

Thank you for the warm welcome by the warmest  :)
If I scored a exposure of say 7 to 8 warm members in a week...by the time 8000 is aware it will be some time . All good for me. It would of course great to hear WWI memories. But, by the looks of it this web site has enough to compile its own history of 25 years of presence of British in Fethiye. There are some interesting and noteworthy samples of writing on experiences, requirements, demands, pleasures, complaints, requests, show offs, noticeables, wisdom, capabilities, effort, rejection, ignorance, understanding, tolerance, and respect and overall satisfaction in this web site in so far as what it represents, and certainly a lot of good yarn I reckon!.

I will certainly have fun at Fethiye sector and by the way I used to be very interested in fishing ( before life got its toll on me and I stopped following where the good fishing is) and am looking forward to just dangle my hooks and not have to wait for hours to catch one... :)))

Regards
