My delightful estranged husband has apparently got married to a nice Turkish girl, just one small problem, as far as I'm aware hes still married to me! Can he divorce me without me knowing about it? Can anybody help me out with this?

Bigamist.... YES
Sorry to hear it must be very stressful for you

A petition would have been issued to you and you would have at to acknowledged it.The court then sends the respondent the acknowledgement to your husband (the petitioner ) the district judge issues a decree Nisi to you  then a degree absolute is applied for .
This is what I remember of the procedure.

I would not him get away with it I would definitely report him to the authorities .Good luck Janice

Speak to Sule,  it's a bit too important to take advice from random Web sites or forum members.  You need to ensure your kid's rights relating their father are protected.

Good luck.

No, you're not told - I include myself in the "random forum member" category when the subject is as important as this, even though I work for a law firm in Istanbul and could make a fairly decent stab (i.e. educated guess) at answering the OP's question.

There are some scenarios where professionals know best.
