Hi.

I've just been looking at property sevices, & one of them stated that
ID's must be given to your banks over in Turkey by 30th June 2009,
or you could have your accounts frozen.
I would be very grateful if anyone on the forum has any information on this.

Yes, there's a requirement for all bank accounts to be "validated" by the 1st of June.

You have to provide your Turkish bank with some form of personal ID and / or a utility bill with your name and a address on. Otherwise your account will be frozen.

It's all down to the EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulations apparently.
