Tax - Self Assessment

I have to complete a Self Assessment Tax Form for the first time and need to purchase the approved Inland Revenue software to do it. Could anyone recommend a package? Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks

You shouldn't have to purchase anything Monique.  Check the HMRC website for self-assessment and complete it on line from there.  I found it a bit unwieldy first time round, but the second one I did was much easier. 
The biggest battle is trying to get your tax back!!!!!

I'm on self-assessment but have never purchased any software to do it. I just download a form from the HMRC website and complete it.

I have missed the deadline unfortunately so as a non resident of the UK you have to purchase software!

The deadline for online SA is 31st January, so you should still be able to get your logon from HMRC & do everything online

I don't see why you can't make a direct online submission. But at least it has to worth giving it a go before buying software - if nothing else you can get your financial numbers sorted out.
