The last Calis Car boot sale of the winter season takes place on Sunday and it is expected to be very busy.
If you are intending to have a stall at the boot sale, this is your last chance as the boot sales then stop for the summer season, resuming again in September.
The popular monthly Sunday car boot sales which are organised by the Calis Children's charity (the 3C's), have now been running for 5 years, and attract both buyers and sellers from all over the area during the winter months. They have become a regular feature in the Calis social calendar.
The sales are held in the car park next to the Bahar Hotel on Calis seafront.The cost of a stall at the sale is 15TL which includes two tables. The sale is from 8.00 to 2.00 pm with set up from 7.00 am. Sellers are asked not to set up before this time.
Not only are the sales a hunting ground for bargains and a great social event but they are also a great way of fundraising with many local charities taking stalls to raise money for their good causes. The 3C's raises money to fund projects for local children from the sales of donated items on their committee stall and also from the stall fees less the cost of table. At the last sale of the season as well as their normal stall, the 3C's will have a seperate stall just selling good quality baby and children's clothes.
If anyone has any unwanted items to dispose of but does not wish to have a stall the 3C's would be very happy to take these off your hands and can collect them if required. Please ring 0536 373 9520. Donated goods can also be dropped off at the 3C's charity shop at the Eyna Restaurant on Calis seafront. The charity welcomes and can collect donations all year round.
The 3C's charity shop will also be open from 11.00 until 2.00 pm on Car Boot Sunday so if you do not find what you want at the car boot why not pop along and have a browse in the shop where you will find a big selection of books and good quality clothing, shoes etc. We have recently had a big donation of clothes for the larger lady.
