As far as I'm aware there is no ban on vaping in Turkey, but the sale or promotion of the actual product and the liquids requires a licence which is nigh on impossible to obtain.  That said, folks I know who vape don't appear to have much of a problem either using their gadget or obtaining supplies.

The official line is similar to the alcohol free beer, in that it may encourage folks to get hooked on nicotine.

The fairly well known alternative view is that the tobacco companies lobbied against the vaping sector and were successful.  We all know what that means...

Wonder how many shoeboxes it took  :)

Thanks for that. My Son vapes and he’d heard scare stories about their
stuff being taken off them at the airport.

If found (by Turkish customs/security) then it very well might be, they could look at it as "importing" if on way in and if on way out, just to be feckin awkward.

We've taken our vaporisers and oils the last few visits and customs haven't taken them.  Not even looked to be fair

I don't think we've ever had any form of search when entering Turkey, ever.  When I think about the amount of square sausage, smoked back bacon and black pudding that's travelled with me over the years its probably a good thing  :)

The vaping issue is a curious one, it appears that there is an increasing number of countries who have either banned vaping or have introduced regulation to strictly control its sale and use:
