My oven like Jacqui's doesn't have a conventional grill, so today went out and bought a "Tost Makinasi" Toast press/grill thing - which the Turkish people seem to use for toast (they have it sussed - oval loaf shape will not fit into toaster slot)!
Just fancied beans on toast (withdrawal symptoms) - plugged it in & BANG - fused the whole chuffing house!
Needless to say will be going straight back tomorrow!
At least I hadn't opened the beans...will save that delicacy for another day......

May I suggest a Dualit toaster very effective at making tasty toast and toasted sandwiches( with a special gadget). never looked back after buying one - looks sexy aswell!

Colwyn is correct, toasters are bad, look at what one has done to Gorgeous_bird, caused some injury that stops her turning her head, and has also affected her eyesight.

Turn the toaster on its side, this will stop the cheese running off.:D

I tried that and it shot the bread across the kitchen floor, sunny side down. The dog was pleased but I wasn't.  Don't ring us ...:D
