Title: " Happiest man in England"
Post by: badger on March 26, 2012, 19:22:22 PM

Not one of the 3m lottery winners, but non  other than Abu Qatada

the preacher of hate who has been upgraded to a larger

 taxpayer-funded home,more bedrooms and a bigger garden.The rent on

his previous house was reportedly £1,900 a month which was funded

through benefits. At least the Anti-terroist squad will still be

able to keep an eye on him.

Soft-touch UK is alive and well  [:(!]

So annoying.
We have a friend (born & bred in the U.K.) who cannot get housing benefit because they have managed to save 16K throughout their working life and are now out of work.
Strange thing is...if you are a 'refugee' from foreign climes, the Govt do not look into what monies you may hold in a bank account in your native home.

I know what you mean, my fiance was made redundant last july and because he had some savings from his 40years of continuous previous employment he couldn't get any help what so ever, yet numerous asylum seekers in the local area have housing provided, furniture, food vouchers etc!! It makes you wonder what's the point of working hard and trying to save a little!!
The Great certainly appears to have gone out of Britain!!
We are looking into selling up and enjoying the rest of our lives in Calis while we still can!!
