Title: RIP Philip Dawe

So sad to read that Philip passed away a few days ago. It seems wrong to be writing this under the heading of things nothing to do with Turkey. He came here and set up a small holding, growing all his own produce.  His TWitter account Gardening in Turkey was popular. He was always happy to share advice ,tips and recipes for his bread. Not only a lovely man,but a truly inspirational one too. God Bless

I had been following his posts on Facebook, under Gardening in Turkey, and was surprised to see the post this morning by his daughter Suzi. There had been no previous mention of illness or his death that I was aware of.

I was surprised to see the post from his daughter.  I enjoyed reading his gardening blogs.   He seems to have died so suddenly.    Very sad news.
