You will need all the DEFRA paperwork, inoculations certs, export cert, vets clean bill of health cert etc etc.  Not that the customs will ask to see it of course

As far as I am aware, only Turkish Airlines transport dogs to Turkey. This would mean Heathrow rather than Gatwick for south departures.

You are best to speak to someone direct on the phone to make your reservation. I doubt you can make this booking on the internet.
Cyprus turkish airlines (www.kthy.net) fly from stansted and Heathrow, not sure about Gatwick. Some of their flights let animals on board. They used to just charge as excess baggage weight. Not sure if that still applies though.
Friends of our brought their dog out with thomascook 4 years ago from gatwick, but it did work out considerably more expensive. www.flythomascook.co.uk
You must speak to defra who will give you a list of all the necessary documentation amd inoculation certificates from your vet that you will need. The will also give advise on the size of travelling box you will need to buy for your dog.

Contact Meg or Rachael at Overhill Kennels near Bristol. They've had plenty of experience of exporting animals, including ours,  to Turkey through most of the UK airports.

we brought 2 german shephards out from manchester to antalia, no flights to dalaman in the winter to cater for dogs. we went with jets 4 pets. highly recommended we were already in turkey, they did every thing we just had to get to manchester to fly back with them. it cost us about £1000 a dog.
well worth it though.

I've been looking into this too for my cat.If you type pet export into google you'll get a selection of sites.  Jet Set Pets quoted me for her to come out on the same charter flight as me and weren't very expensive - they help with all the paper work you need. I'm told you can collect your pet at the other end before you get your luggage............  Sandy
