On Monday 21 March the finals of the darts and pool knockout was held at the Sunshine Cafe. The event which is sponsored by Cenk and Olga from Interturk Estates and is organised by the Çalış Children's Charity.
The darts final was played first in a fantastic final between Mick Doherty ( last year's winner) from the Nil Bar and Nigel Berry from Aydin Pide, Mick started the better and flew into a 2.0 lead but Nigel, playing in his first final, came back very strongly to become the winner by a score of 5.3
The pool final was between Martin Simms from Sevi Classic and Sezai Eser from Anna Gardens. This was a more one sided final with Martin Winning by a score of 5.1
After the final matches we were all treated to some lovely food courtesy of Sunshine Cafe.
The presentations for the winter Darts and Pool League followed, the results being;
Pool league was won by Sevi Classic with Aydin Pide as runners up and the very proud owners of the Wooden Spoon were Receps Team.
Dart League was won by Sevi Classic with Nil Bar as runners up and Cafe Pazaar got the Wooden Spoon.
So no surprise who was the Overall winner, it was Sevi Classic with Aydin Pide in second place and Sunshine Cafe third.
The 3Cs committee would like to thank Cenk and Olga from Interturk Estates for their continued support and sponsorship, John Ross who took over the running of the league following on from the excellent work done by Graham and Julie Whitaker (co-founders of the winter leagues) who have moved on to pastures new, also Sian Midgley who collated all the leagues from January and finally the sunshine Cafe for hosting a superb event.
