Friends first time to Turkey this week staying in Kalkan. She messaged me to say she hadnt signed up for wall to wall thunder and lightning. Feeling sorry for her, nowt worse than bad weather when you only have a week : :).

There is a couple getting married tomorrow at Izela who have been planning their wedding for four years. It took the bride ages to get the groom to agree to an overseas wedding and she finally wore him down with mental images of making their vows in the late afternoon sunshine, beauty of the surroundings etc....
Weather forecast is absolutely terrible. Hopefully it will be an amazing event no matter what but my heart goes out to them. :(

Oh no what a shame! All the best laid plans etc - but they will still have a wonderful and very different wedding anyway. Very often the sun comes out when you least expect it. Fingers crossed. They also say that every raindrop is a blessing. They will have a beautiful day. ;D ;D ;D

Not bad weather for our week, hopefully not to many thunderstorms... A few pm ones predicted..

Hopefully they can arrange to have the photos taken on Saturday when the weather should be better.

Don last night is Saturday 31st October. Hope we get to see you before we close.
The weather looks pretty unbelievable for the next few weeks. I can't believe the forecast won't change, for the better. Never seen anything like it for this time of year and not very nice for those coming over but at least if it doesn't look like it will all become sunshine people can come prepared.

We don't arrive until late on the 30th October this year due to a family wedding the day before. I'm not sure whether we can get our act together in time to visit you before you close. Might just make it for a quick lunch.

You are a prophet Lotty! The rain held off for the afternoon and it was beautiful at 5pm when the service took place.
The rain started to fall just as they made their way from the garden under the canopy that had been put up over the restaurant area...by which time it didn't matter.
All went perfectly, I am so glad for them!
