Unlike here, coins under 1 lira never seem to be used (except in the shops). 

Isn't in shops where most coins are used :D

Ha ha, you are right but you never see a bar or restaurant charge 6 lira 25 kurus for a beer for instance, when there is an increase it goes up by 1 lira.  A price change from 5 to 6 lira is 20% ;D
