So who is doing them? The deadline to get all your receipts etc in is 2 days away (20th January)

What in UK Or Turkey?

Turkey of course. Today is your last day to get them in as its a saturday tomorrow. rebate usually works out to be a months wage.

What happens if you are retired and dont work, just live off your interest, already paid tax on that. Alan

It all goes against what you paid into SSK.

Does any know how to present your accounts. Is there a special form to use, if so where do you get it from. Do you have to present receipts. Do you do it in sterling or YTL- In short is it easy or hard to do? Are the tax authorities helpful in explaining what needs doing?
I hope some one can help with this query?
Stuart.

wel its a bit late now. Today was the latest to hand in all your receipts. You get the forms and envelopes from stationaries and then give it to your accountant. As this is done in Turkey the currency would be YTL naturally.
You gather all receipts you kept from the last year regarding food, clothes and rent payments etc. Then you get back whatever its is according to the payments you have made to SSK.

Thanks for the info Starman. Much appreciated.

Sorry if I appear a bit dim, but what is SSK? and, like the post from Number 2 above, we will be living off my work pension when we move over where the tax etc is paid in the UK. Why will I have to fill in a tax return when I will not be working/earning in Turkey?

SSK is the Turkish version of national insurance payments. If your not working here then it doesnt apply to you.

Thanks Starman. Eric
