Does anyone please know where I can buy some old wooden cart wheels

The genuine old ones have become very expensive now. You'll probably find it a lot cheaper to go to one of the carpentry shops on the Saniye or along the Karaculha Road and buy new ones. Then you can 'distress' them yourself.
-
I cannot recall seeing any in the Turkish Gardens, but they are so popular in the U.K. I used to sell them and had them outside my shop. One thing to remember, is, if you are putting them in your garden treat them with wood preservative and do this every year, as they will rot over time.

If you do get hold of any, make sure you chain them to the wall as they're going to be nicked !

Thanks KKOB.

There are loads of them in the antique shop, Tola Furniture, I think that it's on 268 Sokak. It is at the back end of the workshop area. Just ask the owner to have a look in his "other" store across the road. Last time we were there I noticed dozens of cartwheels, mostly solid ones.
TC ;D ;D

Be careful, they aren't as big as they used to be

Yes , there are lots at Yola Furniture in Fethiye.
Also sold wooden wheels as well which are unusual

Thanks everyone will go and have a look.

KKOB where is Tola near please.
There is a large place on the main road, left hand side, near Ortaca, if my memory is correct. Has a large stock of garden antiques, carts, wheels, pots, wooden pieces, etc. We stopped there a few years ago, with the gardening club.

Hi Busybee
It's called YOLA furniture. It's on the industrial estate which is opposite Carrefoure. About a 15 min walk. Then ask
The address is 268 SOKAK
No sign on the unit, but two dirty great terracotta pots outside.
-
Thankyou, so its on the Saniye (indus.est), the maze!!! Only ever been on their once, to look for some decent trellis, seemed to walk for miles, and got very confused!!!
-
It's really not that difficult. Walk straight across the road from the Otogar and you go up either Sokaks 253, 254 or 255. Sokak 268 crosses all of these at a right-angle after Sokak 267.

Phone no for Yola
90 252 612 4650
90 533 226 2253
Try this. It's easy to find SOKAK 268. But Yola is not obvious as there is no sign outside.
Give them a ring when your about to storm off in a huff (as Sue was)
