Chrome & CBF
« on: October 02, 2014, 17:41:42 PM »
Why doesn't Google Chrome like CBF? Frequently in the last week I have been unable to get to the site via Chrome. I have no difficulty getting CBF on Firefox or Ice Dragon, and no difficulty getting other sites on Chrome. It looks like something personal between Chrome and CBF.

May be a local setting or extension thats causing the issue, I use both Chrome and Chromium - no problems with either.

Does the page simply not load?

That's it; it doesn't load. CBF is now back on Chrome after a 15 minute interruption. It is just a minor irritation, only a bother because I use different browsers for different kinds of business and leisure.

Colwyn,

I use Chrome for CBF most of the time - not had any of those issues.

I think I'll just shuffle my lists. I'm still getting a "ghost" hotel reservation application form on some CBF threads. Simplest thing id to move it elsewhere where I don't have problems. In favour of Chrome is that it is the only one of my three browsers that lets me download via BBC iPlayer

Try: Reset Google Chrome to default settings

It sounds like something is interfering, maybe an adblock extension?

I use Chrome all the time and very rarely have any problems with it.

OK, I've reset to original settings. I'll see how I get on.
