just wanted to ask, we both have revolout cards, getting on the dolmuses is it better or easier to use a kent card or just plain revelout?, or does it make no difference.
-
Doesn’t make any difference I use my Wise card on the Dolmus.

Don't you get a little discount by buying through Kent card?

6.65tl using a wise card, Calis to Fethiye. I don’t know the price on the Kent card but assumed it was the same, it’s more if you use cash.

i must admit, i'm very new to this/these new cards as i come from a cash is king background,so please just bear with me, so, on the dolmus is it better or easier to pay by card rather than cash?, i must admit i've not moved on that much in these years, i do remember when you got on a dolmus there used to be a few chickens and maybe a goat or two onboared and you passed the money down the bus, and then change passed back to you, i honestly miss those times,

I miss those times as well. If you do pay in cash the driver gives you a card to use anyway but it costs you more, so you might as well use your card. As you get on there’s a small screen that you press your card against. If there’s more than one person just tell him how many and press the card the appropriate number of times.

10tl if pay cash. 6.65tl if pay by kent card.
Small fee to buy kent card , not sure how much as had mine a while. If using dolmus regular recoup money back in short time.

thank you for the replies, sooooo, on the dolmus, is it one flat charge to the end destination wherever you get on? i've never given it any thought in the past.
i think a kent card is the way to go for us, sorry to keep asking questions but going back to the dolmus do prices vary depending on the destination? we are thinking of going to gocek and other places-maybe turunc or wherever takes our fancy kas would be nice
-
Yes, price depends on your journey. Calis/Fethiye one fee wherever you get on. For longer journeys you may need to go to the Otogar in Fethiye where you can prebook your tickets

Kevinc250 we paid 14tl one way to Göcek in April using a Kent card
-
hi rana, thanks for that its a great help, my one question? how do i/we know how much is left on the card? is that done by the receipt or one of those new fangled app things, don't want to embarrass myself by not having enough on the card also was it a one dolmus to gocek?
-
Hi Kevin when you scan your card it shows your balance on the screen but you have to be quick to see it, failing that when you top up the guy at the shop can tell you. We got the bus on Barış Manço to gunlukbasi then to Göcek but you can also get from Fethiye town center.

We always take Chase card along with Starling as a back up. Best bank rates, no charges and no dodgy commissions.
