OK - she's not actually stopped me watching the World Athletic Championship Games from Beijing, but lord she is spoiling my enjoyment of same with her annoying and not very informative 'expert' summarising of what is taking place.  I refer to the wonderful heptathlete, but downright abysmal commentator Denise Lewis!!! She is dreadful, and I wish the BBC would kick her into touch, along with Colin Jackson.  Michael Johnson on the other hand is exactly the opposite and explains why things have gone right or wrong in a concise and informative manner - so that even us armchair athletes can understand where we are going wrong!!!!

If it is Sport it has to be Peter Aliss for me.  Cannot stand him, time he was retiring.

Cant  agree with   you there Jacqui. I think Peter has an interesting voice and he brings a bit of fun to the game of golf.

He is a master of his craft, as many of his fellow commentators admitted on a program I watched a couple of weeks ago.

Peter Alliss brings his Victorian view of women into his golf commentary. He keeps making remarks about "Popping down to the local on a Sunday after your morning round of golf for a pint of 'cooking' while the Little Woman is preparing your Sunday lunch". Should have been left in a fictional 1950s Surrey village with his cronies as a sort of Disney attraction - perhaps Dinosaur Man.

OMG Colywn,  we agree.  Aliss has a low opinion of women and has put his views forward a number of times.
He even called his own wife a Rottweiler with lip gloss, live on T.V.
He should have been put out to grass years ago and a woman should have his job.
