To my mind that's just a passionate football man making a genuine mistake

Mind you having seen the previous, I am not so sure about the matter.

By the way a genuine mistake that DID warrant punishment.

No wonder footballers act like animals when their management do too.

He has quite a history of loosing his temper.  He has been fined by his club and they say the matter is now closed, but we will have to see what action the  F.A. now take.  It is very unseemly behaviour for a Manager and not a good example to the players and more importantly the fans.  :o :(

It was a daft thing to do, and he should and will be punished, but it's a bit of an exaggeration to call it a "headbut".

I wonder how long he will remain at the club.?   Would imagine there's a bad atmosphere there now.

Trial by media,no way was this a headbutt. Both clubs and the player are trying to play it down for what it was, pure passion.Newcastle have stepped in and taken action in an effort to stop the media frenzy, the FA will hopefully be objective, effective and prompt in their action so we can get on with the rest of the season. That said MA,DL,JI and pals may see it as an opportunity to let him go.

This. To much exposure makes it more of an issue. Its just silly really.

He'll get the FA book thrown at him. He has previous and needs to grow up to be honest.

Pardew has got form as mentioned above, but let's not forget his stint, albeit briefly, on MOTD.

Going off topic, football has again today covered itself in glory, or something else: Carson Yeung ex-owner of Birmingham City has been found guilty of money laundering.

I would say you couldn't make it up. I won't because you don't need to. Behaviour in football, the gift that keeps giving, as far as head line writers go anyway.
