Title: Help - Kings garden
Post by: KathB on October 16, 2015, 09:44:52 AM
Can anyone help with the prices here? I've been on the website but no prices on the menu and it is a pet hate of mine.

I'll move this as it is obviously not a restaurant review

I cannot think of another restaurant in the area that has a menu with a prices, perhaps other members might know one?  I can assure you that the Kings Garden is a very good restaurant and the prices are really reasonable and considering you get free transport there and back and also entertainment two nights per week, you will not be disappointed or out of pocket.  Give it a try.

I think if you need to see a restaurant price list on their website before you'll eat there, you'll go pretty hungry in Turkey   ;)

My thoughts too.  Even the Yacht Classic do not put up a menu let alone a price list.

So what's the point of having a website if not to publicise what's on offer?

They do publicise what is on offer, they have a full menu and also images of the restaurant and a place to ask for pick up and drop off.   They are also very successful.
Other places, such as Vojo's (now gone) did just have Facebook Pages and did not have menu prices, but the F.B.Page was very popular and helped to get them business.  In fact, even without prices they were still No.1 in Calis Beach.  The moral is, publicity always works.

Thanks Jacqui - I should say that we accepted a kind invitation from the wonderful lotty and MSB to join them at the Yacht Classic for lunch.

It was an absolutely joy and a time we will always remember BUT....

CleopatrasAsp's point was they do not advertise what's on offer.

I think the idea of a restaurant website is to publicise what is on offer. However, if they have had the website made, it's best to avoid content that needs constant updating. It's a bit like getting menus printed with the price on - in Turkey they change so much with inflation etc you'll rarely if ever see one of those either. Just a menu with lines/spaces next to the "what's on offer" to put the prices on using the most non-permanent pen possible.
