Senay is the waiter not the Frank Cannon look alike...he is related to him however..
-
Is Senay the chap who had the car accident last year, i kept calling him Sonny last month i knew it was something like Sonny!
-
Yes that was senay... He told us that the lovely woman who works with him isn't his wife...
-
Nuran is his wife they have been married 18 years.

Senay is very much a joker, but they are indeed husband and wife.

We went there this evening and we were surprised that a Turkish restaurant did not offer Lavaş, only a few slices of toast.
-
Should every Turkish restaurant sell that then?
-
Whats a lavas please? I love the garlic bread at Gunisik you get on the house
-
A wheat wrap. Same as a tortilla .....
-
I thought lavas was the hot puffed up bread?
-
I think that is molten rock Lotty. They definitely don't sell that :D
-
Lavash?
-
Lava ;)
-
No, ha-ha :D ! I was suggesting the word I was thinking of for the puffy bread might be lavash. I'm sure I've heard it called that?
-
Yes Lotty it's name is lavaş

Hi all i heard some time ago that senay and his wife were leaving gunisik or it was closing down ,we are coming out in august and gunisik was a welcome
Break from the usual bars and reastaurants can anyone tell us the current situation cheers

Hot puffy bread, we always get it at George's free before a meal with some dips. Their Mum makes it in the oven in front of the kitchen. Always love the puffy bread. Been getting this Lavas for about 13 years now at George's Shared one with the lovely Lotty last October.
-
The hot puffy type bread is actually called Balon Ekmek which translates to balloon bread. Lavash is similar but a flat bread...
-
pstevens, Senay and Nuran will be back at Gunisik again this year.
-
Filled with guilt we have become disloyal to Gunisik in recent visits (apart from the traditional on arrival one). We have been using the Mangal across the road - for one simple reason, we can't take the dreadful wine at Gunisik anymore :D
-
Gunisik for the best kebabs in Fethiye! I have yet to find anywhere better. I think it's the pitta bread he uses instead of the normal white bread......
-
I am wondering what the word Gunisik means. All I can find is the small town of Günısık near the Syrian border. Any know more/different.

It means sunrise. Günısık is the correct (Turkish) spelling...
