Sorry if you have read this on the Carnival thread but I felt it needed advertising on here as well.
If you are looking for something different to do in May then Fethiye Times Gardening Club are organising an open gardens day in Calis on Sunday 16 May. Five very different gardens, all located in Calis, ranging from small but beautiful plots to an old hotel garden (now occupied by English & More Language School located next door to the court house in Calis) will be open to the public. One aptly named the "recycled garden" consists mainly of cuttings and unwanted plants rescued from rubbish bins and other sources!
Visitors will be able to look around the gardens and discuss plantings and ask garden questions with the owners. There will also be refreshments (drinks kindly sponsored by English & More), home made cakes and an opportunity to buy plants at the English and More Garden.
The Open Gardens Day is the second to be organised by the club (last years successful event was held in Uzumlu). All gardens will be open from 1.00 pm and close at 4.00 pm and entrance is by a map which gives clear directions to each garden. These are now on sale at the English and More Language School and costs 2TL per person. The maps will also be on sale on the committee stall at the last Calis Car Boot Sale on 18 April.
All proceeds from the day will be shared between the Fethiye Times Gardening Club and the Calis Carnival charity
