Looks like this new You view box does more than I thought.

Similar channels as filmon.com which is free (at present).
The only benefits of uktveverywhere seems to be the 7 day programming and the option to watch previously shown programmes, so if thats an important requirement then the $130 for the box + a monthly payment may be worthwhile.

Working OK here but noticed you have to sit through an advert each time you load it

Filmon keeps changing its format - up till a month ago they gave you 1000 hours of recording free, then removed all free recording, now they give you 2 hours free.
And yes the adverts can be a pain.

If you sign in you won't get the adverts.
Mine was showing adverts when first opening, signed in and doesn't do it anymore

Signed in and still doing it with me - although not on every channel.
Shame they dumoed the old system where you had the option to skip the ad after a few seconds.

It looks like a good package if you have a minimum of 4mb!  that will rule an awful lot of homes out. Is it legal? doubt it, but filmon have been getting away with it for years. Filmon works with 2mb, quality though very variable if you only get 3.5mb max like we do.

I have been having probems with free filmon installed through an android ap. At first it worked fine (about a month), then I was getting request to register all the time, after registering the screen size was small. when I enlarged the screen the message would come up that my free HD trial was over.
So I downloaded the filmon 'balltecam' ap that worked for a while then the same thing started to happen after about a week.
Not to be put off I downloaded the filmon 'family' ap the same thing happened again after about a week.
I now use my android or pc and go through the internet and select the filmon schedule and it works fine, the battlecam and streaming still will not go full screen.
I think that filmon are trying to force me to buy the full package, I suppose you dont get anything for nothing.

we are on a lowly average of 1.6 and plays perfect - if it drops to 1.1 or less then we get the streaming delays - it may depend slightly on the capabilty of the PC/laptop you use, have tried a couple and there is a big improvement using a more powerful machine.

it's 'uktveverywhere' that insists that you have at least 4mb, I have 3.5mb and reception is variable on 'filmon' not complaining as its absolutely free. Maybe it would improve if I subscribed! Most providers state that the minimum requirements are 2mb. You are very lucky to receive perfect reception with only 1.6mb. As far as my device is concerned its a brand new google tv mini pc designed for the job.

Yes, same here Jim and sometimes they can be very annoying.  Nevertheless, it's great to be able to watch up to date programmes, so I put up with it :D

Like I  said in my thread  `something for nothing ?`   ;)   it rarely exists in this world  ...... now  `film on` will let you watch it overseas  .. but  soon they will be introducing their charges for that service    ;)  I bet

Even with a VPN I cannot see any UK channels - where have they hidden them?

Just found them - they only appear when I log off from filmon, and then it will not allow me to record.

I now have itv2, e4, Dave etc etc without VPN...
The main UK channels don't show without VPN, but with VPN on work perfectly.

Have been reading up about it all, and various court cases, etc etc, so they're obviously trying to find ways around it and still working on it as have more today than yesterday  :)

According to the e-mail I received from Filmon yesterday....it's the result of a European Directive whereby they can only show programmes in their country of origin.  Yesterday I had no British channels, today I have the bog standard 5, so they've got round some of the ruling..I daresay in time, they might find a way to get the rest back.  I'm pee'd off because I was really enjoying the reruns of Colditz and Bergerac on Yesterday, and as a big Sci-fi fan I'm missing my 'hit' of Star Trek Enterprise (last episode) and Stargate SG1.  Now investigating UKTV that was mentioned in an earlier post,. Other than that, it's Amazon who'll be getting my business.  Digiturk is a waste of time and money.

We to were gob smack last night to find Film on uk channels gone after Holby finished, then a very lenghty conversation with the help desk girls via the internet and they said from then on i would only get the five main UK channels if i was in UK even if i signed up for the EU package.
Low and behold tonight i thought oh what the hell i'll give it one more try all the main UK are back without the need for a Vpn which i also signed up for last night.
Fingers crossed with time we will get the whole lot back.
