Do you have to change your car number plate if it has a number "4" in the wrong format.
My TUV is coming up and I remember this from ages ago.
-
Some people I know have had to change theirs.
Probably worth getting it done beforehand to save a second trip, assuming your car is likely to pass first time :)
-
You have to change your plate if it has any holes in it, including fixing holes. Nothing to do with the number 4.
-
I can't see how you could have a number in the wrong format as plates are only issued by the Trafik Polis, aren't they ?
-
We have just had our MOT done on our car and we have an open number 4 and we didn't have to change the number plate.
Perhaps the person I know that shared having to change hers had a battered number plate and had to change it for the reasons Baz suggested.

Don't know whether there should be a standard format for the no 4, but in a relatively short distance today, I've seen 3 different versions & several of each: a) the LH stroke is vertical b) the LH stroke is at 45 degree angle, but open at the top & c) LH stroke again at a 45 degree angle, but closed at the top.
All the 4s were the part of the 48, the Mugla registration no, so it wasn't down to regional variations.
