If you live in Turkey and pay for your medication on the 22nd of Feb all medicines will go up by 22% so get them now
-
This price increase seems excessive. Does it also apply to tourists? I sometimes buy creams/ointments/dressings when I'm on holiday because they have usually been considerably cheaper than in the UK. :( :(
-
Why would you expect tourists to get it cheaper ?
-
It’s a tax so yes
-
Maybe they will start sellng them in "duty free" at the airport :)

Hi KKOB. It wasn't my intention to indicate that tourists would have an "expectation" to a cheaper price. I asked if the price increase applied to tourists because if the increase is a Turkish tax imposition, tourists may be allowed to purchase the medication at a price which would be lower than that which a resident would pay. As I'm sure you are aware, certain items in the UK can be purchased by tourists free from VAT, so a similar arrangement could exist in Turkey. I remember that I bought a watch when I was on holiday in Kusadasi about ten years ago and I was able to obtain a refund of tax at the customs office when I showed them the purchase documentation before returning to the UK.
