We've got a UPS but it doesn't do anything to improve the ADSL connection.

Came home from Telekom, all back on. Went out for the afternoon, gone again on our return all evening and early next morning.

It's easy really. TTNet broadband - always available when you are out.

I agree too, but it might stop your computer going bang if you get a power surge, it will stop your hard drive crashing if the power goes off while the drive is being written to, and with my laptop I can stay online during a power cut.

Yeah - my router never comes back online after a switch off - I have to disconnect it for a couple of hours before it will work again, god knows why?
