The best angle is upright against your ear.
the best arrangement is not to forget to take yours with you.

Also if i am on Turkish network and i phone someone in Turkey who is not what price do i pay.

If you are just going for a holiday, call your network provider and ask them to give you "International Roaming", or else you won't be able to use it.

Call charges depend on your network provider.  I am with T-Mobile and it costs a fortune!  Your network provider will give you the costs.

Patty you are correct in that you can buy a Turkish sim card and put it in your nokia. Thats what I did. Phone cards from the shop in Fethiye, man in shop fitted it. Cost around £12, still have credits left. Swapped back to UK sim card on return home. Stored card in one of those flat tiny plastic holders that breath freshners come in...must not confuse the two. No idea what the calls in Turkey cost but it was loads and loads less than calling Turkey from within Turkey in January when I spent £20 on one call to Heidi!! Carol.

My Nokia was unblocked for all calls - then got a Turkcell sim and it works fine. Calls from Marmaris to Calis appear to cost the same, whether it is a mobile or national number I'm calling. Still have loads of credit left on the phone. For what I paid it would appear that Turkish mobile call rates are cheaper than UK.
I understand that calls from call boxes are cheaper after 10pm so calling the UK it is only 8pm there.

Patty,
That was going to be my question. I've got a spare Seimens as well as a spare Nokia, both are unlocked. Does that mean I can take either and simply buy a Turkish sim card to put in ?.
If so where.... and at what price    ?
Simple answers please... no words with more than 4 letters...  :)
