Does any one reccomend any particular make of Mobile to buy as pay as you go in Turkey.
Or is it best to take one from UK?

buy one in turkey i bought the cheapest one a nokia and the neighbour tops it up when i am in england

You can get some nice cheap phones here be careful where you buy check out the Good and Bad shop guide on this forum

You can get a cheap Nokia just for texing calling for around 80ytl - 100ytl

Hi

I use a cheap Nokia bought in Fethiye with a pay as you go package and my partner uses an unlocked UK phone with Turkish SIM (from 15YTL).

You do need to top up regularly or it can be taken out of service but I've found that once you top up, you get your credits back.

We have a pay as you go Nokia bought in Turkey which we top up when we are there. However I brought the phone home with me in October and am going back out in two weeks, so what will I need to do as I presume it will have been taken out of service?
