Can't say I surprised. We already have insurance companies, doctors, hospitals and many other institutions sharing our details. Labour installed CCTV in every place they could think of putting it. People are being find more by local councils for putting the wrong rubbish in the wrong bin than they are for shoplifting.

Big Brother is getting bigger every day.

Not sure increased CCTV is down to labour, British people appear to have become intolerant and suspicious of everything that moves, especially young kids, and lobby for more of the retched devices! Only my opinion of course and posted with a smile. :)

I don't mind CCTV or the introduction of Identity card and DNA data base.

My idea is that if you have done nothing wrong what is the problem?
Should someone do wrong to you or your nearest and dearest how many will then be thankful that such devices/cards/data is available.

The fact that Big Brother is watching doesn't bother me either and I agree with Loz, Stoop makes the point that it is being used to punish the easy targets.

It leaves me puzzled that someone is punished more for dropping a piece of litter than someone beating the crap out of another????

My household loses Family Allowance and I am the only earner, some friends of mine gets to keep theirs and they earn around £80k combined????[:(!]

Davenic2 - can't understand why having property/money would have anything to do with claiming state pension?  Isn't everyone enititled to it anyway?

My thoughts exactly. Why would it make any difference. Both of us have applied for and got our state pension sorted from Turkey. We are resident here but have our state pensions paid to a UK bank, no problems and no questions re Turkish property or bank accounts.

I would have thought that if you have returned to the UK to live permanently then the time you spent living in Turkey is irrelevent.
