« on: May 10, 2013, 11:11:50 AM »
Hi All

Any recommendations for annual travel insurance for over 70 year old's
My mother does have some pre exciting conditions and does expect cost to increase next year when she turns 70, but would hate to miss out on our Calis apartment due to insurance costs

Any advice

Thanks Doug

Try Atlas Doug. They are consistantly the cheapest for me and were no problem on the few times we have had to claim.
I am a fair bit off 70 though.

For older folk with pre-existing medical conditions I am told that Staysure are very good:

Or Rias Doug

Though I'm not sure why you didn't ask your brother, who has worked for a insurance company for 15yrs, this before you asked the world ;o)

Never trust a insurance saleman, estate agent etc.

We have been with L V  Insurance for the past 2 yrs which covered my pre med conditions  of Cancer treatment ,,high blood pressure our joint 12 months cover has been £138  ,
BUT due to my new problems of a tear in a spine disk and my very recent spinal  Root Nerve Block  treatment and my wifes irepairable ruptured shoulder tendon  this jumped up to £405 12 months joint cover  with LV  ,, upon searches on the web others were around £410 - £560 12 months joint cover.
Good news we have joined nationwide recently and you get 12 months joint free cover .
BUT i declared  ALL our pre med conditions AND only paid £115 top up.
WELL DONE nationwide  [ who use uk medical insurance ].
im 68 wife is 66 by the way.
Give L V  a call they may offer you a good deal.on pre med conditions
