To answer the question asked initially

If I was looking to buy, it wouldn't put me off. The likely outcomes are either a general election or a realisation that Sultan Recep can't do what he wants when he wants. Both good things generally. An Islamic state is pretty unlikely and recent events have proved that the Turkish people will resist that vigorously.

Locally as people have said, pretty much business as usual. Tough times in many countries - and maybe I'd rather have a property in Turkey than one in Spain, especially if I wanted to sell it in the medium term.

My thoughts exactly. I certainly wont be pulling out of the buying process,and look forward to many years of good times in Calis. ;D ;D ;D
