this forum is just bloody brilliant,  if I was in Turkey I would help,  I am sure someone will step in and help and maybe one of the charities is already onto it

Hands wouldn't let me type :(.
Have just been in touch with a Notary here as we have another buyer - maybe? He wants well over £200 just to Notarise the form we supply him + £75 for Apostillation.
I think he's trying it on OR is that the going rate?

Can we just visit a solicitor and get him to verify signature - providing passport & bills etc. and send it off to foreign office ourselves to be apostillated?
How do other people do this - do you use a notary or just any old solicitor?

I was POA for my neighbour out here and he had to have a Solicitor in the UK and an Apostile and everything must be correct or it wont be recognised out here. Yes costs are that high but shop around and see if you can get another solicitor that will do it cheaper.
