Miami friendlies
« on: June 01, 2014, 08:29:33 AM »
I find it a little strange that England have taken all of the provisional squad to Florida.
Roy has said that he will, at some point during these two friendlies, give every member of the actual world cup squad, some game time.
You would assume therefore that the provisional members who are not going to Brazil, will not be featuring in these two games.
Why take them? Why not announce the "Brazil" squad a day or two early? Some countries have.

I was hoping Rooney would get less playing time, Internationally he's spent.

Agreed just as well the team wasn't / isn't built round him, Milner that is.

Disappointed to see Shaw left out of the last game, he had a cold and we don't want to risk him!, he will need more games than anyone.
I really can't see the spine of the team?

Why can't we go back to the days when it was easy - all the manager had to do was build a team around Emile Heskey.

That would be around the time we beat Germany 1-5. As I recall Emile scored.
