With MPs wanting to spend the equivalent to 2.5 years of Britain's GDP on restoring the Houses of Parliament over two generations or so there has been talk of Parliament and all its associated Civil Service moving out of London to see how the rest of country lives. So I cordially invite them to move to Leeds.

Or to Birmingham.
Or to Manchester.
Or to Sunderland.
Or ... well just about anywhere else - but NOT to Bristol. Definitely not. Stay away.  Don't want you. Bah. Boo. Et cetera.

  The building should be vacated and demolished and adequate premises with adjoining hotel facilities should be rented.

  Cut down on maintenance  fees, overheads, expenses fiddles, and the need for perks. The current premises have spent

  most of their existence empty. Bristol would be an ideal location. It is after all famed for it's hot air. !!

  Nay,   PROUD  MIDLANDER.      I would welcome the setting up of Government in Birmingham. I wouldn't have to travel

  far to see a Whitehall Farce or a world class bunch of comedians. We would get the lions share of the public purse spent

  on Birmingham not London. I'd even start a petition to get Her Majesty to move er ouse up ere.  We've put everyone else up. !!
