Is it just me [?] or could this be any more confusing!!!!!

Why would they want to block phones? Surely the revenue comes from call charges and credits ?? so if you buy a turkish sim card dont the turkish telecoms make money??? I know things seem to work differently but i dont understand - how does bloacking phones benefit??

Neisha,

the reason behind this, is 40% of phones in Turkey are what they call "kacak" or smuggled hence a lot of lost revenue.
I have 2 unregistered phones and they are both working today. if they get cut off I will just go to the phone shop and register as they will be still accepting registrations aslong as you have the original receipt.
