Sad to read that Ken Dodd has passed at 90 years young. What a hard working fella he was. We were in Blackpool a few years ago and saw he was on, couldn't get a ticket for love or money. Some fond memories of family evenings at home watching him and the diddymen and various shows he appeared in. Not many icons of that era left now. God Bless x
Well i write a good obituary..happy to say it's fake news ;D : :)

Sir Ken Dodd's press agent has slammed an "upsetting" and "completely untrue" report on an internet site which falsely claimed that the veteran entertainer had passed away.
-
This was a scam. some sick people about
-
I bet he's tickled missus. :)

I know I felt awful when I read it was false news. My whole point of writing was because I liked him and had fond memories of watching him. Who would put such things in the media if they weren't true..err besides me of course. Sorry for any offence caused. Just found out Norris off corrie isn't dead either..

You shouldnt feel bad Bernie you only posted what you had read online...I must admit i thought KD was already dead...

Scunner, that phrase brought back memories of two minutes of great hilarity............a couple of years ago we were strolling past the Meeting Point and we noticed that the dog which belonged to next door was lying on the steps fast asleep on its back (its usual position!).
Big mouth me, quick as a flash, shouted out "Ken Dodd's Dad's Dog"s Dead"................or that is what I should have said!
Inevitably, the quicker I tried to say it, the more tongue tied I became, until a group of people behind us joined in, slowly at first and then speeding up until almost everyone was tongue tied and bursting with laughter. There must have been around 20 people joining in by this time and most of us ended up with tears running down our faces.
I tell you, we weren't half tickled Missus!!
Memories are made of this! :) ;) ;D
