Moving Kontors
« on: April 16, 2009, 16:54:41 PM »
Hi there, hope someone can help as I'm hopeless with stuff like this. We have 2 phones with Turkcell sim cards. As usual it seems that at top-up time I have used almost no kontors resulting in a balance of 471. How do I transfer some to our other phone that is used most of the time?

Many thanks,  Lucinda

Probably a good reason.... but why don't you just use the other phone. We have two phones and just use whichever needs the Kontors running down. I don't know if what you are asking can be done but ask in a Turkcell shop :)

But don't ask in the one on the back road in Fethiye. They'll nick them !

Contact Turkcell's customer Service Dept. They've got English speakers and they can do the transfer for you.

To transfer kontors.  Go into messages, go to write message.  Type in the mobile number you wish to transfer credits to (omitting the first 0, i.e. 539xxxxxxx rather than 0539xxxxxxx)leave a space and then the amount of kontors you want to transfer.  The maximum you can transfer at anyone time is 70.  Send the message to 2277.  You will receive a text back asking you to type EVET to agree to the transfer.  Reply by typing EVET and send to 2064.  You will receive a new message saying kontors have been transferred, the mobile you sent the kontors will also receive a text message saying they have received kontors for your number.  You can transfer a maximum of 250 kontors a month.  The cost to do this is 4 kontors as you are sending 2 messages.

Text sifre and send it to 2222. You will receive a SuperPassword. (make a note of it)
Go to http://www.turkcell.com.tr/en
click on "online services" at the top of the page.
Type in your phone number, Super password and the Security Code.
You will then be able to transfer kontors, plus you will be able to do many other things.

Many thanks for the replies.

tribalelder, the reason is that with Turkcell they disconnect the phone for outgoing calls if you do not top-up every three months with the result that I accumulate a lot of kontors. I thought if we could top-up each others phone from the kontors we have that it may avoid this problem.
