« on: June 02, 2014, 09:42:08 AM »
Anyone recently had a home landline connection? Am considering for internet use only not phone.
One of my neighbors did have a tel connection but that was a number of yrs ago, now they just use mobiles. Any idea on price/length of contracts?  :)

Went with a friend a couple of weeks ago, you have to do the phone first this was done the next day no charge for this, except you have to get your own electrician to connect to the house Bayram charges about 30tl. the line rental is about 18tl a month.
Once the phone is done you go back to do the internet, he took a 2 year contract on supernet which is 14mb unlimited (but has fair user policy) first year I thin k it was about 60 tl second year 80 tl.

You might want to consider the Vinn WiFi, a brilliant piece of kit that supports up to five gadgets. no landline required and faster than ttNet.

We have the land line.
Bought our own modem and did not have to enter a fixed contract. It's open.
Have a phone as well as it does come in handy sometimes and is quite cheap at weekends for UK calls.

Our cost is around 86 TL per month for 8 meg.
We only ever get 4 but that is "normal" and allows us to watch tv and stram on the pC.
